Our advisory work is premised on the belief that issues of ownership, family, management, and governance are normal developmental hurdles all entrepreneurial enterprises face.

We work with clients to understand not only the vision, culture and organization of their businesses, but also the history, values and particular style of the current generation of leadership. We bring an interdisciplinary perspective to help plan and ensure continuity of leadership and continued adherence to core values, while assisting clients with continuous reinvention of their business strategies and tactics.

A Roseview Advisors engagement may include the following phases:

Phase I

  • A comprehensive assessment of the business and family/shareholders through individual interviews and other due diligence
  • A written report of our findings and recommendations
  • A report meeting at which we deliver our recommendations

Phase II

Once the critical issues emerge through the assessment process and we issue our recommendations, we stand ready to aid in the resolution of these issues. Phase II of the engagement is designed jointly to address those issues raised in the assessment report and report meeting which require further facilitation.

Phase III

In this phase, we begin the complex process of continuity planning, an holistic planning and implementation process encompassing at least five independent, concurrent planning activities led by several different primary professional advisors. Continuity planning includes:

  • Facilitation to resolve existing and foreseeable family relationship issues
  • Personal financial, tax and estate planning
  • Corporate strategic planning
  • Development of corporate and family governance
  • Design of financial architecture appropriate and capable of funding both corporate strategic plans and controlling family/shareholder needs.

Please read, "Heritage and Tradition in Family Business: How Family-Controlled Enterprises Connect the Experience of their Past to the Promise of their Future" for an in-depth discussion of effective continuity planning.
