
Nigel Keenan has an in-depth and comprehensive knowledge of many real estate functions gained from 20+ years experience with large real estate investment companies where he developed significant skills in workouts, asset management, business plan and strategy development and implementation, acquisitions, asset management, financing and portfolio management.
Mr. Keenan has been active in all the major East Coast markets, as well as the Midwest, Southwest, Colorado and Puerto Rico, on behalf of high-net-worth families and some of the largest pension funds in the world. He has completed workouts with major banks, institutions and private companies on behalf of a Sovereign Wealth Fund, private capital and pension funds. In total, he has played an active role in closing $2 billion in transactions over the course of his career.
Highlights of Mr. Keenan’s career prior to joining Roseview in 2009 include more than two years at Colony Realty Partners, where as Managing Director he was responsible for office and industrial acquisitions in multiple East Coast markets and Colorado; and 12 years with Boston-based General Investment & Development (GID), ending as Director of Office Investments and Vice President of Acquisitions, multi-family properties. At GID, he was responsible for acquisitions in major East Coast and Colorado markets on behalf of some of the largest pension funds in the world, and also participated in significant asset management activities.
Prior to GID, Mr. Keenan was an Asset Manager at Boston Financial (Lend Lease), where he was responsible for a portfolio of over 40 properties in Texas, Ohio, South Carolina, Kansas and Puerto Rico. He began his career in real estate at AREEA Investment Advisory Services, Inc. (AREEA) in Miami, who managed the U.S. office, retail and land portfolio of a Sovereign Wealth Fund (the “Fund”). During his time at AREEA he worked on behalf of the Fund as a creditor in one of the largest bankruptcies of its time in South Florida, and oversaw the asset management duties of the portfolio during the bankruptcy.
Mr. Keenan graduated from University College Dublin, Ireland, with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree.
